Welcome to Mater Dei Theatre!

2024-2025 Season theme: Children will Listen

With this year's productions focusing heavily on the idea of story and identity, the theatre program aims to encourage all students and patrons to truly reflect on the stories we hear, tell ourselves, and the influence they have on the world around us. We encourage you to join us this year as we intentionally use the power of story to improve the lives of our community!

Meet our staff:

Mrs Madison LealMrs. Leal returns as our Director of Theatre Arts teaching Theatre I, II, III, IV, V, directing the All School Play, and producing the Senior Musical. She also guides our Leadership Council and Cappies Critic Team.  Mrs. Leal joined the Performing Arts community at Mater Dei in the fall of 2023. She comes to us from Redlands where she lead her theatre program for two years. Before that, she lived abroad in London where she earned her Masters of Fine Arts in Acting with the University of Essex (East 15 Acting School). Originally from Orange County, Madison has experience as a director, stage manager, designer, and actress in cities across Southern California. Her fondest performance to date was when she played Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing at Shakespeare’s Globe in London during her graduate program. Mrs. Leal is eager to continue the tradition of a thriving Theatre program and to shape our Monarchs to be brave, daring, and alive - both on and off the stage.
